International Roaming

International Roaming Information.....

What is roaming?

International roaming is a service which allows mobile phone users to make and receive calls and text messages while travelling abroad. Each UK mobile operator has established agreements with overseas networks which allow its customers to use their mobile phones in many countries around the world, providing their handset is compatible with those networks.

Before You Go!

The first thing you need to do if you know you'll be travelling abroad, is make sure you have International Roaming enabled for your handset. The best way to do this is to call your service provider (link for network contacts) from another phone - who can check that you can use your handset abroad or can switch it on for you if necessary (it will take approximately 24 hours for International Roaming to be enabled on your handset). Roaming is available to approved customers only.

Whilst You're Away....
